USB adaptor just to get on the 5GHz network at home.ġ. At first, I thought it was due to it being an old technology, hence it is not compatible with newer ones. The thing is whilst everything seems fine and in working order,I have never been able to turn WiFi on using this adaptor. My laptop has the Broadcom 802.11n Network Adaptor, which according to Device Manager is working properly:
